Terms of Use

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using the Service, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Description of Service

NationsHelm provides country and leader profiles, cross-entity comparisons, geopolitical rankings, an Intelligence Panel that generates deterministic insight reports, and a market intelligence metrics layer synthesizing equity, currency, and commodity signals. Content is derived from public data sources (including World Bank, WGI, GDELT, NewsAPI, and USGS) processed by our own scoring and analysis engine.

The Intelligence Panel currently produces output through deterministic logic — not a large-language model. The "Methodology" page explains how scores are computed. When LLM-generated features are introduced, these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and related disclosures will be updated accordingly.

3. Accounts

Registration

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@nationshelm.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

One account per user

You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or access plan-gated features without a paid subscription.

4. Plans and Billing

Free plan

The Free plan is available to all users and includes country cards, leader cards, comparisons, rankings, current intelligence snapshots, embeddable widgets, and share images. Free-plan insight generation is subject to a daily usage limit enforced per account (signed-in users) or per browser session (anonymous visitors).

Paid plans

Premium, Team, and Enterprise plans unlock additional features as described on the Pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis. By subscribing, you authorize us (through our payment processor) to charge your payment method on the same day each month. All fees are in USD and are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

Plan changes and cancellations

You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to paid features until then. Downgrading removes access to features not included in the new plan.

Enterprise

Enterprise plans are governed by a separate order form or agreement. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and an Enterprise agreement, the Enterprise agreement controls.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. Specifically, you must not:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from the Service using automated tools, except where permitted through robots.txt, APIs, or our prior written authorization.
• Use the Service to build a competing product or to compile datasets for resale or redistribution.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features, usage limits, or access controls.
• Transmit malware, spam, or any code designed to harm the Service, its infrastructure, or other users.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or network connected to the Service.
• Use insight outputs or any content from the Service to harass, intimidate, or threaten any individual, group, or government.

Excessive automated requests that negatively affect the Service may be rate-limited or blocked. We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating accounts, for any violation of this section.

6. Embeddable Widgets

The Service may offer embeddable widgets you can place on third-party websites. You may use these widgets only on websites you own or control, only in a manner that does not modify or obscure NationsHelm attribution, and only in compliance with these Terms. We may disable a widget at any time if we determine it is being used in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

7. Intellectual Property

Our IP

The NationsHelm name, logo, design, scoring methodology, software, and the structure and presentation of insight outputs are owned by or licensed to us. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, trade dress, or proprietary content beyond what is expressly permitted here.

Underlying data

Country and leader data is sourced from public databases (World Bank, GDELT, USGS, and others). That underlying data remains subject to the terms and licenses of its original sources. We do not claim ownership of raw public-domain facts about countries or public figures.

Your content

The Service does not currently allow user-generated content. If that changes, we will update these Terms accordingly.

Sharing

You may share NationsHelm-generated images, cards, widgets, and publicly accessible reports provided attribution to NationsHelm remains intact and the content is not modified in a misleading manner.

8. Data Accuracy and No Professional Advice

Insight outputs, scores, rankings, and market signals on the Service are generated from public data that may be incomplete, delayed, or subject to revision. They reflect the state of our data at the time of generation and are updated on automated schedules — not in real time. We do not guarantee that all countries, leaders, historical events, datasets, or metrics available on the Service are complete or exhaustive.

Intelligence Panel

Analytical summaries and insight reports reflect NationsHelm's interpretation of publicly available information through its proprietary methodologies. Reasonable analysts may reach different conclusions using the same underlying data.

Public figures

Leader profiles relate exclusively to public officials and public figures acting in their official capacities.

Rankings

Rankings represent the output of NationsHelm's proprietary methodologies and should not be interpreted as objective statements of fact or universal assessments.

Methodology changes

We may modify our scoring methodologies, weighting systems, data sources, and calculation models over time to improve the Service. Historical rankings and scores may therefore change without notice.

Availability

Certain countries, entities, metrics, or intelligence reports may not be available in all plans or at all times.

Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, political, or professional advice. The Service is an informational and research tool. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on content from the Service. If you require professional advice, consult a qualified professional.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site. Accessing third-party links is at your own risk.

10. Editorial Independence

NationsHelm is an independent research platform. Rankings, scores, and insights are produced through our own methodologies and are not influenced by governments, political organizations, advertisers, or commercial partners.

No affiliation

NationsHelm is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government, public institution, political party, international organization, or public official referenced on the Service.

11. Corrections Policy

If you believe factual information on the Service is inaccurate, you may contact us at corrections@nationshelm.com. We review good-faith correction requests and may update our datasets or analysis where appropriate.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NATIONSHELM AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $10.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NationsHelm and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if required to do so by law. You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, and 16 of these Terms survive termination.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at legal@nationshelm.com. If informal resolution fails within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Montevideo, Uruguay.

Class action waiver: You agree to resolve disputes with us individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative action.

If you are located in the EU, EEA, or UK, mandatory local consumer protection laws apply and are not displaced by the above.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by notifying you via email or a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

18. General

• Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and NationsHelm regarding the Service.
• Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
• Assignment. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without your consent. You may not assign your rights without our prior written consent.
